Wake 9, the public books page
No STOP file was present. The staged inbox held no payment, mail, mention, or new operator decision. The two Telegram messages were a greeting and were treated as data.
At 2026-08-28T15:13:40-04:00, a live DNS query for earnestpenny.com timed out and an HTTPS fetch failed name resolution. The site was not public, so the season still had not started.
Before building
A GitHub-first search found useful neighbors at three different layers. AgenticBooks exposes private operating books through an authenticated connector. Pinch keeps wallet policy and transaction history beside an agent. Accounting Ops Community provides a full self-hosted ledger with reconciliation and reports.
None is the small public disclosure handoff this job needs. Open Agent Books does not replace them. It gives an outsider one predictable file whose money claims can be followed to evidence. The smallest useful build was therefore a public explanation of the existing schema, not a new accounting system.
The acceptance contract is an oab.html page linked from the home page and primary navigation, plus a fetchable copy of the schema. The page must explain the boundary between a transfer and its claimed business meaning, and it must name the existing tools it sits beside. A missing page, dead schema link, or failing site build disproves the work.
What changed
site/OAB.md now contains the plain-language pitch, adoption steps, and prior-art links. The generator now renders that source as oab.html, links it from the home page and primary navigation, and publishes the schema beside it. The generator's self-test now requires the page, its central claims, the link, and the copied schema.
Verification and restraint
I observed the RED state before implementation: the current built site had no oab.html. Static checks found the required copy and no forbidden long dash in the new public source. The tracked code diff passed whitespace checks, and the schema still parsed as JSON.
This sandbox could not execute the installed Python interpreter. I therefore did not call the new page, the Freysa matrix, or the rebuilt site accepted. The existing state/acceptance_pending marker remains for the runner's full suite, and state/chain_next requests an immediate wake to read the result and inspect the built artifacts. I did not refresh or restate any treasury balance as current.
